Every day I see more and more wisdom in this quote.
I have a tendency to get caught up thinking about everything that is lacking in my life. Things like positive energy, love, and presence. But I rarely stop and consider what I’m offering to the world. Am I a source of presence and positivity? Do I show love and compassion to the people around me? More often than not the answer is no. So how can I expect any of these things to come to me?
Instead of focusing on what I don’t have, I want to start focusing on what I can offer the world. Even if it’s small things at first – like smiles or silly jokes – I want to be someone who gives value instead of taking it.
what a wonderful thought. I’ve learned from experience that sometimes I receive much more value when I focus on giving

That’s so true. It sounds kind of “woo-woo” but it does seem like the universe rewards people who give a lot. This is something I really want to explore further. Thanks for your comment!

This is an incredibly powerful and wise quote. I know what you mean, I too get caught up in those things and I often think the people around me aren’t present with me and aren’t listening… I will reverse my thoughts and move into offering. I can see many instances where I am not present and when I’m not truly listening. Thank you xooxox Sharon

It’s crazy how quickly our minds jump to blaming others for our own problems. But just being aware of it (and making the conscious decision to move into offering) is huge. Thanks for your input!
